POWER 5

Optimum mix compound distribution for maximum fun on the road* with silica compound and void ratio for maximum safety on wet conditions
The geometry of the texture allows to modulate the contrast and to create shades of gray on the surface of the tyre.

ROAD 5

Using the latest combined technologies of MICHELIN 2CT and 2CT+ and the latest generation of compounds and siped tread, MICHELIN Road 5 tyres offer you the best wet grip versus its main competitors* without compromise on dry roads.**
* According to internal studies at Fontange, a Michelin test track, under the supervision of an independent witness, comparing MICHELIN Road 5 tyres with METZELER Roadtec 01 , DUNLOP Road Smart 3, CONTINENTAL Road Attack 3, PIRELLI Angel GT and BRIDGESTONE T30 EVO tyres, in dimensions 120/70 ZR17 (front) and 180/55/ZR17 (rear) on Suzuki Bandit 1250.
** External tests conducted by the MTE Test Centre used by Michelin, comparing MICHELIN Road 5 tyres with MICHELIN Pilot Road 4, METZELER Roadtec 01 , DUNLOP Road Smart 3, CONTINENTAL Road Attack 3, PIRELLI Angel GT and BRIDGESTONE T30 EVO tyres, in dimensions 120/70 ZR17 (front) and 180/55/ZR17 (rear) on a Kawasaki Z900 giving best dry performance overall and #1 for Handling

Even when 50% worn, a MICHELIN Road 5 tyre stops as quickly as a brand new MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyre* thanks to the evolutionary MICHELIN XST Evo sipes.
* According to internal studies at Ladoux, the Michelin centre of excellence, under the supervision of an independent witness, comparing MICHELIN Road 5 tyres used for 3502 miles and with 50% remaining tread depth with new and unworn MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyres.

With its improved dry grip and stability and the best handling versus its main competitors, thanks to MICHELIN’s patented ACT+ casing technology, it offers even more riding pleasure.3*

Pilot Road 4

Thanks to 2CT technology with brand new tread compounds and a redesigned tread pattern, MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyres last on average 20% longer than MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 tyres. These tyres feature chamfered sipe edges that help prevent abnormal wear in extreme conditions and under heavy braking.

* According to internal study conducted in 2013 with 120/70 ZR17 (front) and 180/55/ZR17 (rear)
Thanks to their new XST+ sipe technology, MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyres reduce braking distances on wet roads and very slippery surfaces like white lines and pedestrian crossings. The result is a safer, more reassuring ride.
MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyres provide optimal grip when cornering because of their patented tread pattern and specific tread compounds.
Tread grooving and siping also increase their ability to clear water.

Pilot Road 3

MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 tyres have innovative sipes, born out of our X-Sipe Technology, providing better grip on wet surfaces for added safety. And they look pretty different too!

Our XST sipe technology improves tyre performance and grip in the wet. It enables riders to relax in rainy weather as well as on slippery areas in the dry (puddles, paving stones, damp areas under tree cover…).

Long-lasting tyres thanks to their MICHELIN dual compound 2CT technology, which ensures the tyre wears in a uniform way and that its performance qualities last for longer. YAMAHA chose them as Original Equipment for
their MT07 model.

Pilot Power 2CT

MICHELIN Pilot Power 2CT tyres are designed to help you get maximum pleasure from sporty riding. Meeting the high standards of riders by combining excellent grip on dry and wet surfaces in addition to long lasting quality.

These tyres are durable in the center and softer at the edges to allow you to achieve impressive lean angles more usually seen on the track. MICHELIN Pilot Power 2CT tyres have MICHELIN dual compound 2CT technology to thank for their outstanding performance.
Designed to last for long journeys without coming unstuck, MICHELIN Pilot Power 2CT tyres can withstand the impact of accelerations and the bite of the brakes without flinching.

Pilot Power 3

Made with SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber technology), MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 tyres ensure maximum grip on dry and wet surfaces and last 20% longer than MICHELIN Pilot Power 2CT tyres*.

* According to an internal study in 2012 at the Ladoux Technology Centre with the following sizes: 120/70 ZR 17 (front) and 190/55 ZR 17 (rear).

Tested on wet tarmac, MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 tyres have fantastic gripping properties on wet and damp surfaces for excellent confidence.
Increased road contact for unstoppable grip and excellent feedback : that’s the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 tyres promise, one it delivers thanks to its tread profile and optimised rubber for Sport bikes and Roadsters.
